New PC..soon

Hi again,

We all went to the city today to go shopping. Aimee is proving a little handful to ..um handle. I'm afraid Aimee is turning into one of those uncontrollable kids screaming at the top of his/her lungs while lying on the floor in the middle of the department store. I hope the terrible 2's don't go into the terrible 3's. Don't know how to manage her at times, guess that's just one of the joys of parenthood.

Finally got around to updating our 5.5yr old PC. Ordered a slightly customized Dell XPS420 last Monday...and guess what, it arrives this Monday...2 days away. Quite happy with the spec and am now just getting my head around what needs to be moved to the new PC (like Roses iTunes library etc.). I guess the only thing I'm not too happy about is the move to Vista, but I too am hoping that with the imminent release of SP1 there might be an improvement in peoples opinions and of course usability.

Have posted some more pics from Joan and Greg's camera of the 50th anniversary lunch, so if you're interested family, go have a look.

Bloody Rain...

Hi again,

The weather here in Sydney since Christmas has been wet to say the least. Apparently it will be the same for the next two months....anyway, last week - Rose and I, with Jeff and Kitty, went to Openair cinema on Sydney Harbour. Usually it's a pleasant experience, but it rained for the 1st half of the movie. They hand out ponchos, but still not a nice experience on that night. By the way, we saw "2 days in Paris", I'd recommend giving it a miss.

By the way, getting erratic wireless signals skewing the rainfall figures, we really haven't had 500+ mm of rain in a day, though on some day over 35mm (inch) is accurate.

My parents celebrated 50 years of marriage last Sunday. The 5 boys of the family paid for lunch, we invited family and friends. My parents enjoyed the lunch and catching up with all, the food and venue was good - a nice day had by all. I've added the photos to the Photo Album.

Anyway, that's it for now.
