in the spirit of blogging...

Rose and I were talking on he way home tonight from weekly dinner (or so) at my parents....we're so amazed at Aimee's progress.

Over the past month or so, she's moved from a finger pointing 18 month old to a 20 month chatter box. Her vocabulary and understanding has developed and surprised both of us. :) Small things like responding with her name when asked, or making animal noises.

Now, I know that this fact is probably of little amazement to anyone reading this blog, but in the spirit of blogging and sharing thoughts, that's it for the day.

oh, and also....I'm playing with a new photo album app named Gallery (v2), purely PHP and running on my webhost lunarpages, may prove to be more practical than Jalbum, I'll keep you posted. I like the idea of uploading my pictures directly to the site and it building the album, rather than uploading a generated album.

bye for now.

Bahrain F1 GP - Qualifying, Result.. and F1 site

Update 19/4: Here's the result. Another good race, not too boring - great overtaking move by Heidfeld on Alonzo - probably the highlight. DC had a great race...well, until lap 36 - think he was up to 7th from 21st. Webber had a good race until 1st pit, and then until lap 41 when his car failed. Hopefully in the 4 week gap, the red-bull guys will get some reliability.

Just "watched" F1 qualifying via the live timing feed on the official F1 site, Mark Webber qualified 8th, best effort this year. Click here for the detail - but here's how it went:
  1. Massa
  2. Hamilton (1st time front row - nice)
  3. Raikkonen (yawn)
  4. Alonso
  5. Heidfeld
  6. Kubica
  7. Fisi
  8. Webber
  9. Trulli
  10. Rosberg
If you get a chance, register and "watch" the GP Sunday night (1130GMT, 1430 Bahrain). The live timing is full of good info like lap and sector times, track conditions etc.

The F1 site has a handy time converter - so load it up, then click "Convert to My Local Time" and voila, you'll know when to watch. :)

Slippers

Hi again,

Here's young Aimee trying on Mum's slippers. A snug fit! I'm sure you'd agree. It's amazing to watch her grow and learn new things day in-day out.

Check out the flickr link for a few more images.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter anyone :)

Thursday was very exciting, apart from selling the house, we had some great news from Mariana and Renato, that they are expecting twins. Wow - what do you say...amazing.

We've had a busy 4 day w/e so far. Friday was spent completing a build of a PC and laptop (Umart), then delivering to our brother and sister in-law. Had to setup the internet, network, desktop, wireless Laptop and a printer as well. Good fun for a geek like me :)

Saturday we visited our friends for dinner a some Wii action on a 50inch plasma. Very addictive and the graphics were impressive on the HD TV. Unfortunately - I was tired and fell asleep with Aimee....not good company I'm afraid.

Today, we went to a family easter get together with my aunt/uncle and cousins. Lots of kids, and Aimee seemed to enjoy herself running around, though she managed to get a small cut over her eye. Way too much chocolate was consumed by all. ;)

Just watched the Malaysian F1 GP, mostly boring but nice to see McLaren one-two finish. Mark Webber had a "consistent" race, placed 1oth and not lapped.

Have been experimenting with blog layouts, Rose prefers this layout, and I don't mind it, so we will stay with it for now.

Sold Sold Sold

Well, we've exchanged contracts and received a deposit to sell the house. So essentially, we've sold it. Not bad, 3 weeks have past since we decided to sell and we got the price we wanted, which is pretty rare in Sydney at the moment apparently. Another plus is that there will be no advertising/marketing costs for us - :).

We're very happy with the outcome, though our solicitor and real estate agent dislike each other to the point where I'm the conduit for any communication now :)

So now we have 6 weeks to pack up the house, store it and move in with Rose's parents until we find our next place. More busy w/e's to come :(

This pic BTW is 4 years old.

busy week

Hi, had a busy week since the past post.

Been tidying and re-organising the house as we're selling it. Hopefully, we'll have some positive news on this front in the next 24hrs.

We had a 11 groups through last Saturday (31/3), not bad considering we're not on the market yet....anyway fingers and toes crossed.
